We are currently working with The Museum of Cider based in Hereford. We are designing a new website and logo for them as well as a branding guidelines documentation. The museum was formally called Hereford Cider Museum and part of the rebrand is focused around giving the museum a national rather than purely local focus. This makes sense as the museum was set up in the early 1970s to preserve the history of cider making worldwide.
I was delighted to be given a private tour of the museum by the museum’s director Elizabeth Pimblett. It is a fabulous space, much bigger on the inside than it appears from outside, and contains loads of artifacts and interesting things relating to the production of cider. I even got to see a special room that contains thousands of old bottles of cider and I was fascinated by how the designs on the labels have changed over time.
Work on the new branding and website is going well. So far we have provided some draft designs of the logos and website which is really looking good. This should be a great project allowing us to show off our design skills to the fullest.
