The UK’s only cider museum gets a bold new website to match its unique story
Back to case studies
The museum is set in the heart of Hereford, inside the original Bulmers factory from 1888. The Museum of Cider wanted a fresh new website that felt modern but stayed true to its roots. With a new visual identity already in place, the aim was to bring the site in line, attract a younger crowd, and highlight the museum’s role as a go-to source for all things cider.
About the project
While reviewing the old site with the client, it became clear that its structure could be improved by removing outdated pages and creating a smoother user journey.
All bookings on the site were handled manually, with users having to download a PDF, fill in their details, and send it back. Although this wasn’t flagged at the start of the project, we saw an opportunity to simplify the process by embedding the forms directly on the site and reducing the number of fields, making it much easier for users.
Bringing the Museum of Cider’s story to life
We redesigned the museum’s website to reflect its updated identity, streamline the user experience, and make it easier for visitors to explore, plan their visit, and learn about cider’s rich heritage. The result is a modern, accessible site that stays true to the museum’s roots while reaching a broader audience.
